Come along to
this year’s ‘Big Olney Food Festival’ – or ‘BOFF’ as it is more
affectionately known – on Saturday 18 September!
Organised by Olney Chamber of Trade, BOFF will take over Olney
marketplace from 12 noon until 9pm. A range of local businesses will
each have a stall on the marketplace providing food and drink for you to
choose from – there’ll be wonderful dishes prepared by Pastures Farm,
The Bull Inn, Much Ado Delicatessen, Old Shanghai, Happy Herefords, Four
Pillars Tandoori, the Pancake Race Committee, and Teapots. Fine wines
and beer will be provided by Bacchus and The Bull.
Simply buy your ticket in advance, turn up on the day at a time that
suits you, choose your three course meal from the wonderful menu
available and a glass of fine wine or beer, and find a seat in the
marquee. Then sit back, relax and enjoy the food and entertainment!
It will be a great day out for all the family. Fun activities for the
children include a giant blow-up slide and face painting, whilst cookery
demos, wine tasting and live music will appeal to the grown-ups. The
singer Luan Hockley will be back by popular demand!
There will also be stalls selling other foodie items such as cupcakes,
cheese and ice-cream.
Last year’s festival was a great success, so don’t delay - buy your
tickets for this year’s event in advance to avoid disappointment.
Tickets cost £15 each and are available from Teapots.
